ELVO, the leading defense vehicle industry in Greece, announces the appointment of Antonis Vitetzakis as the company’s General Manager.

Mr. Vitetzakis, a retired Major General, served in the Hellenic Army Technical Corps, where he held, among other positions, the role of Commander of Military Factories. He has expertise in all kinds of different military vehicles, IFV and tanks, maintenance, upgrade and  special use.

Mr Vitetzakis  holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Master’s degree in Project Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

ELVO has been Greece’s national vehicle manufacturer for many years, being the only Greek industry with proven experience in different military and commercial vehicle manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and upgrade. From commercial buses and fire fighting vehicles, to being the OEM of the Steyr trucks, the Mercedes G-class, and the Hummers,  Leonidas armoured vehicles, the Leopard Tank and more.

In the context of a rigorous investment in infrastructure, equipment, technology and personnel, the appointment of Major General (Ret) Vitetzakis  marks another step toward strengthening ELVO’s management and technical expertise and operational restructuring, within the broader framework of the continued growth of one of Greece’s leading defense industry companies.
